Wifi password (those public wifi type setups)

    Hi,
In this question I am referring to "public" wifi setups where you are able to access the router but you immediately get redirected to a web page where it askes you to input a username and password. You would typically see these in airports where you get limited access to "local" information only until you input the password. Anyway, is there a way to have your phone automatically fill in the username and password and go beyond this page? Its annoying having to do it manually every time. No doubt there will be something to remember the username/password and fill the boxes for me but I would like it to auto-submit it also.
    Thanks

Desire HD remembers a wifi setup from the last time it was visited, not sure about other phones, once you enter the username and password once thats all thats needed

Yeah my Desire remembers the routers password details alright. The issue I am poorly describing is where access to the router is open but its like there is a firewall you then have to get through i.e when you open the wen browser you are immediately redirected to a webpage that asks for a username and password. A place you would often see this is in airports where that page would contain payment information etc for 24 hours access etc
    Thanks

If you are using the stock browser, it should ask you whether to Remember, never, ask later after you put the login details.

same scenario when using firefox on PC,

Yeah, that is fine as such, but I still have to open the browser, it auto fills the username/password, and then I have to click submit. I would really like a way of automating the whole process. When I log into the wifi server I really just want to sync my email etc but it won't do that until I go through the browser and submit the username/password. I'm just lazy and want to automate that so that I don't have to worry about the browser.

Not sure if this is what you're after but Lifehacker had a post about an app to fill in wifi details automatically a while ago Lifehacker.com. Hope it helps.

Thanks guys. The Lifehacker mentioned app looks interesting in that at least it will open the browser automatically for me so all I should have to do is click submit. Surely I can manage that! :)
