Just repaired my Smeg oven door!
It's been hanging open by 10mm or so for a couple of years now, but because of the ovens power never really bothered me, but the better half demanded something be finally done.
I figured we were talking major money for new hinges, Smeg parts are not cheap!
I googled the matter, looking for a cheap online source for the parts and found a little site that had a possible, homemade solution.

This involves removing the door, popping a small "n" shaped piece of tin foil over the bottom of the hole where the door hinges go, the foil is folded many times to be about 3mm thick and narrow enough to fit, not to mention strong enough not to tear when fitting the door back.

So, did this, popped the door back on and, Presto, the door closes snugly once again!

Couldn't believe that a matter of packing the underside of the hinge with a few mm of metal could have such an impact!

And it saved me a fortune!
