    Do bookies apply rule 4s or price reduction on football first goalscorers ??
    for example if you backed kevin nolan for newcastle 2nd fav @11/2 and andy caroll who is fav @ 4/1 doesnt play do they apply a deduction

    The reason i ask is that a local bookmaker did apply this to a bet said that because messi didnt play that it would make the next guy in the betting favourite iv'e worked in bookies ten years and never heard of this
    is it justified and on what grounds can they not pay full price like is it at his discretion.I can't really make him pay out using force.

    Surely if that price was correct at the time, then your bet (and the odds you have on the docket) stands.

    Where did you take the price from? Sometimes coupons can be outdated by the time the match comes around, and prices have indeed changed.
