Is the Mariage Freres tea popular in the rest of the world - have you tried some?
This article describes it pretty well!
    I should've kept dating the owner's daughter! :D

At the moment we're drinking a Mariage freres ceylon, Ratnapura. Don't get it that often, and usually badger Paris-bound friends to replenish stocks. Bit of a treat, to be honest, but as I'm off milk, decided to go with good teas. The french always seem to do these things with a certain amount of panache, lol, and I suppose that tends to be part of the cachet of a brand like MF, but the tea is of excellent quality. Perhaps you shoulda kept your options open!!!!
