Ford Focus Engine Light

    Hey guys just a quick one..

    05 focus 1.4, just after xmas when the snow melted the engine light came on in the car. Car was still driving fine. Id drive down the road, the light would be off, get to the shop and when id come back out it would be on when i started up the car. This happened for about 2-3 days.

    All the time the car was driving fine, maybe i was a bit paranoid but i could have sworn there was a slight smell coming from the AC when i had it on.

    At one point the rpm needle was stuck at 0 and wasnt moving when i accelerated, that lasted for about 5 minutes then started moving again.

    After the 2-3days it hasnt come back on since! Any Ideas?

    It would be difficult to guess at the fault but if the light came on at any stage, even if its off now, the ecu will have recorded the fault so if you get a diagnostic test run on the car it will read the fault and possibly catch a developing problem early.

    Hmm not sure, ill be the first to admit i dont have a clue about cars! I think its the new model though.
