Anyone looking to get some printing done online should look to the UK Vistaprint site for real bargains rather than the Irish site. Prices are considerably cheaper, and they tend to have much greater discounts.

Here's an example of a recent transaction for business cards I completed on the UK site:

I designed the very same business cards on both sites, and chose the very same shipping options. The UK shipping charges are for shipping to Ireland, so the price shown is the actual price I paid.

Massive price difference: £26.92 as opposed to €56.39

Yep, I was getting calenders printed off as Christmas presents last month and to buy from the UK site was nearly half the price of buying from the Irish one, even with the extra for postage. I just went with the UK one in the end so. I don't have a clue what they're playing at.

I don't know why people still use Vistaprint, everything I have seen from them is cheap and nasty....

    Oh yeah, 'cheap'. :D

If you choose all the cheapest options available, then yes, it's cheap and nasty. If you pay extra for weightier materials and finishes, then it's not quite so cheap and nasty.

The trouble with Vistaprint complainers is they place an order for the cheapest business cards or flyers, pay something silly like €5, and then complain that the quality is poor, and the materials flimsy.

Vistaprint is no worse than any other printer - you get what you pay for.

Maybe so, but I have yet to see anything of a standard I'd feel comfortable promoting my business with.

Then they have no advantage over your local printer.

3 things i don't like about VistaPrint is their pricing (even for 'free' stuff), the quality and the way the spam the fuck out of ya afterwards.

To me a bargain is something that is good quality but normally more expensive. VistaPrint stuff is always cack and rarely cheap.
