art portfolio/journal??

I started an art plc in september but the tutors haven't really touched on the portfolios yet. also i'm a bit confused on the art journal, like what exactly do we have to put in it? i have one started but i'm really not sure if its correct. any advice?

Your Art journal is for putting down any thoughts re art or plans or sketches for future work. It can also contain photos from papers magazines or the web that you find interesting/inspiring. You could also put photos you've taken yourself there plus small collages you made. Anything that interests you and that you might find helpful in the future.
