I've just noticed that the front drivers side of my mazda 323 has started squeaking, esp when going over bumps or turning. A quick google search tells me that it could be the strut or something along those lines (sorry i know nothing about cars)

It has also only started happening since the weather has gotten milder again - coincidence?

If i need the suspension or struts fixed how much am i looking at roughly?

    Thanks,
    Mel.b

Could be just a rubber bushing. Take it to Advance or Fastfit for a free diagnosis\check. Don't commit to having work done with them though. :)

Thanks. Is 'advance' 'advance pitstop'? There is one in limerick i could get too. The car is also due for a service - any experience what they are like generally?

They're grand for a service. However you can service the car yourself quite cheaply if you're a little handy.
Ask some friends, maybe one of them can show you how.
My gf did her Micra a while back with a bit of supervision by me.
