    Hi everyone,
Im not really sure if anybody can actually help me with this to be honest.... I guess I'm just looking to be reassured and just put my mind at ease but maybe thats not possible...
Basically Im hoping to start a postgrad next year and I will be applying for a grant as a dependant living at home with my parents. Our combined income will never be too much for a grant so I will definitely be entitled to my grant on that basis.
However, I am terrified that they will change the requirements and somehow I'll be excluded.... I nearly had a heart attack when I heard about the new 3 year rule between postgraduate and undergraduate courses but it seems Im safe because Im still applying as being dependant rather than changing it to independant.

Im terrified they might change it again this year to a 3 year gap between postgrad and undergrad for people who are dependant too.

If I don't get my grant I can't do my course and I know so many people are in similar situations but I am just really afraid of this.
Ive worked so so hard to get this postgrad and I still haven't been accepted as its incredibley competetive but Im quite hopeful that I will be accepted this year and if so I just won't know what to do if I can't get my grant!

Basically Im wondering does anyone know how likely this is to happen? And if so around when would it be decided? It seemed to be rushed in slyly last year on the quiet so Im just wondering where this would be published or announced if there is a change made?

    Many thanks

    :)

the information on changes generally won't come out til very early summer

Grant rules change every year so unfortunately there is no guarantees whatsoever

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
