    Hi all,

First time posting so please bare with me. I am from Tipperary and would like to get married in Tipp or surrounding areas. I ideally would like a wedding venue that is cheap, elegant, picturesque and most of all romantic.
I have looked at a few locations ie newpark hotel clonmel, hotel minella, cahir house and kilcoran lodge. I would love some feedback on these locations and if possible recommendations on others.

    Thank you,
    mrsmurphy

Is it South Tipp you are looking at?

Would the North be too far for you? Sorry, I only know the north, it's the best part! :)

Maybe start this question over in Tipperary forum

I would love to have the wedding in South Tipp but i'm open to travelling anywhere in the premier county!! I'll give the Tipp thread a go and see what happens.

I was at 3 weddings last year all in co.tipp. The venues were Ballykisteen in Tipp town, Dundrum House hotel in Dundrum Co.Tipp, and Aherlow house hotel CoTipp. The couple who got married in Ballykisteen got a great deal from the hotel but it might not be the romantic setting you are after. The Aherlow House hotel and Dundrum have the perfect romantic setting but I dont know what deals they have. The weddings we were at in them were large and had no limited budget. Have a look at their websites and see what you think of them. Another place I just thought of is Cashel Palace hotel in Cashel. Its ideal for a small wedding but guests would be divided into 2 rooms.Hope this is some use to you.

Try Kilshane House OP. Might be what you're looking for. :)

So did you decide on a venue in Tipperary yet?

I'm getting married in Tipperary myself and after viewing a few places I decided to go with the Cashel Palace as we are trying to keep the size of our wedding down (also the food is lovely :D ).

[mod-edit] omr2011, please read the charter. Unfortunately due to the level of spam we get on this forum we have had to include a rule that posters with less than 2 months membership or 20 posts can't post reviews, recommendations or criticisms.
