    Hi there,
I was out of work sick for the last 3 weeks certified and i presented these certs to my employer. My employer then contacted me requesting a fit to resume work letter from my doctor and that i go to a meeting in head office on resuming work. First Question is, Can my employer request this letter even though my latest sick cert stated when i would be unable to work? And second question is can they refuse to pay me for the meeting in head office (on the other side of the country)?

    Thanks for the help!!!

Yes they can request a fitness to work cert. if they request a meeting then you are on the clock and should be paid.
