    Hi all,

I'd like to buy my first electric guitar. I can't play, I had few lessons in the past. Now I want to start play. I just want to do it for myself. I don't plan to play in any band nor do rock star carrier.

Now what can you recommend, what do I need to buy and where can I get the cheapest one :P

I saw Yamaha TG121 (if i remember correctly). Is it good equipment ?

Again it is for home use :)

    Thanks

If it's just for home and you aren't looking for anything amazing, a Squier strat like this would probably be fine. Do you have an amp?

Looks like a decent enough guitar, I'd advise bringing someone along to test it out for you.

I don't have one, and I heard I need something called effect or pedal for sounds effects . Is it right?

Well... Depends on what you mean by need. If you're just starting out almost any amp you get will have a distortion setting - and you won't need more than that yet. If you stick with it you'll more than likely pick one up down the line at some point but at the start its definitely not a necessity.

I'd also say go for the Squire Strat. I've a few guitars ranging in value up to over a grand but a Squire Strat I have that I changed a little bit is my number one guitar at the moment.

    Good luck!
