    Hello,
what would YOU recommend for a new build Kerosene or LPG. Granted all the other variables are covered to within reason, insulation/air tightness. But for back up and comfort with no mains gas near, solar doing the most of the year.

Kerosene should work out cheaper. The only advantage I can think of with Gas is if you really want a gas cooker.

I really want a gas cooker. I'm going to get bottled gas. LPG seems to be very expensive based on threads on boards.

I have LPG. Yep, it's more per-litre. However, I also use it in my fireplace, so it makes sense to consolidate fuels. I wish I had a gas cooker, but SO won't have one ...... :(

LPG boiler also better than Kerosene imho, esp for UFH or modulating applications.

But how much are you going to use ? If you're using gas for cooking, and buying bottles for that, you're paying even more, up to 100% more, per litre.

The more efficient your house, the less sensitive it is to fuel choice.

You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”
