I'm told that the tradition of Bus Éireann implementing fare increases in early January goes back a long way. Fares were held in 2010 though, but I haven't spotted any announcements about 2011. Has anyone else?

Decreases should be the order of the day across BE and DB but it won't happen.
The CPI and HCPI are both well down on 08 (ie deflation has occured) yet no downward adjustment in fares in line with this has occurred.

The same could be said for the price of diesel, that may have a lot to do with it.
