How long does DPD England -> Ireland usually take?

    Hey all,

    I'm waiting on a laptop from the UK and it doesn't seem to be moving much. I ordered it last Wednesday (29th) and it got dispatched Thursday.

    Since Thursday it's been sitting on DPD's tracking site as "Your parcel has been received at our sortation hub" (Hub 3). The service shows "parcel - dpd two day".

    I was hoping to have it by tomorrow before leaving home and going back to college. Anyone with experience of DPD England -> Ireland - how long should I expect? Any chance it's moving and they don't update their tracking?

    My last experience with them took about 2 days. You should try ringing them to see if they have any more info on it, or an expected delivery date. If it's left the UK, then you should get it soon, but if it's still somewhere in the UK (or lost), then you won't have it tomorrow (unless it flies out tonight).

    With Friday being New Year's Eve, they may have been closed, then the weekend would definitely been close as would yesterday, so today is effectively the 2nd day since it was shipped on Thursday, so delivery could well be tomorrow.

    Their website shows they were closed on Sat (1st) and yesterday (bank holiday). I would have expected it to be moving Friday, Sunday (they move parcels on Sundays?) and today... hopefully it's just the tracking that isn't updating.

    It wouldn't have moved on Sunday.

    Hi, it wouldn't have left the U.K on the 29th as the Irish hub would have been closed until today. Keep an eye on the tracking you should have it two days after the status changes to "forwarded to Athlone Hub/Depot".

    That sounds like Friday at the earliest? :(

    Meant to update this yesterday... but was too busy playing with the new laptop! ;)

    It flew over to Ireland on Tuesday night, up to Donegal early Wednesday morning and straight out in the van for delivery. When they move, they move! :p

    Sorry to bring this thread up again. I am waiting to receive my parcel from DPD. It was updated at 12.10 am 28/04/17 and it says at Athlone Westmeath. Would anyone know if I will receive this today?
