Will give it a try. Tks. Went for the half price Torres on Sunday and it was sold out at 1230!

Yeah the Torres was sold out at my local Lidl as well. I was thinking, because it was half price, maybe those in the catering/off-licence/pub trade bought some of it.

You have it spot on there, a few Chinese & Indian restaurants go in any buy loads of cases & then sell it off at 5-6euro as their house wine..

I know everyone says that Lidl wines are great, but most I've tried were muck. The Grand Cru at 12 quid is great value and I'd offer it to guests, the rest I'd drink on my own only.

According to Lidls in store leaflet, these 2 wines are on offer again next week, until Sunday 16th. January. It's unusual for Lidl to offer the same wines reduced for 2 weeks, so you've another week to bag these babies.

The Chilean one would be good for 3-4 years (except in my house where it lasts a week).

    Bought a case yesterday.

    Superb stuff for a fiver.
