Have been to Liverpool about 7-8 times in the past three years, and have nearly always stayed at the International Inn on Sth. Hunter St. Have never had a problem and would highly recommend it.

Its clean, warm and comfortable/secure, but most important- its inexpensive! Staff are friendly & helpful, and have put up with a lot from us thru the years (big gangs of lads on tour). There's tea/coffee & toast in the kitchen if you want it, as well as a cafe next door.

Its v. close to the city centre- about 5-10 minutes walk/stumble from Concert Sq. which is one of the main areas for bars/nightclubs, but there are also a few bars around the corner which are open til 4ish on weekends.
