HTC Desire re-install stock ROM

I recently rooted (unrevoked method) and changed to Leedroid.
Noticing a bit of a lag recently and am considering reverting back to the stock ROM (2.2). The phone is O2 branded and locked.

Can anyone guide me to where I can download a stock ROM (and is the procedure the same for reflashing the stock ROM as any other)? Have trawled the web but not savvy enough to solve this.

    Many thanks

    P

Here is a list of RUUs for the HTC desire http://android.modaco.com/content/htc-desire-desire-modaco-com/308058/stock-htc-desire-roms/

To get back to the stock just connect your phone to the PC and connect it with HTC sync. Once connected run the RUU exe

    Thanks folks,

Have since changed to gingerbread villainrom and found it great. Still very good to know how to go back to stock 2.2 if I need to send it back for repair.
Like a fool I didn't do a nandroid backup the very first time I flashed a ROM.

Ok, so tried this and think I might be running into a spot of trouble.

It's been stuck on "sending to phone" for a good 20 minutes or more. I have a non responding Internet explorer window stuck in the background, which won't close.

Is this fecked? Can I pull out the USB and try again?

Tbh I'm considering going back to the stock 2.2 HTc Desire rom

Basically, since rooting to cywgan whatever its called, have atleast two crashes a day, and the phone hangs alot.

With the original stock rom I didnt have a problem in nearly 8 months.

Is there a way to completely remove any trace of rooting and just go back factory default ?

    **Edit**

Lovely says I dont have my original HTC Desire stock backed up, well thats a lods of cock and ball combo cause i made sure I did, ugh knew I shouldnt have done this has been too much hassle to have a "car dock" .

Anyone any ideas how I can get back to HTC Sense 2.2 ?

Shipped ROMs, install whatever generic European ROM (WWE) is available and then update.

Has this worked for anyone? I've been trying to restore to stock ROM for a few days now but with no success. Seems like when I installed CM7 it deleted my older recovery image. So now I have no original recovery image.
