I'm trying to use windows fax and scan over wimax bb and telephone. I have it all set up but but when I dial out and the call connects the fax won't transmit.

I've checked the fax numbers which are valid and I can hear the call connect and answer but the message won't transmit.

    Any suggestions?

Follow these steps and check if it helps:

    1. Go to start and type in windows fax and scan and press enter.

    2. In Windows Fax & Scan go to the Fax view (View menu > Go to > Fax View).

    3. In the Tools menu go to Fax Accounts.

    4. Select your account.

    5. Now click Add and select Connect to a fax modem.

    6. Leave the default name and click Next.

    7. Choose an option how to handle incoming faxes and then click ok.
    Also follow these below steps.

Goto Control Panel - Phone and Modem Options. Pick Modems tab, Properties, Change Settings.

On the modem tab I set my modem port speed to 9600 and unchecked "Wait for dial tone before dialing" Also under the Advanced tab in Advanced port settings I unchecked "use Fifo Buffers"
