    Think-tanks, lobby groups etc.

Where can I find which non-EU groups have recieved taxpayers funds, what these groups used the funds for etc.

While I am here I'd be grateful if you could point me in the direction of figures concerning the EU budget for promoting EU integration and education, promotion etc of the ideals of the EU.

    Thanks in advance.

And please don't forget to include the figures from the EU budget for promoting opposition to EU integration and education and opposition to its ideals (e.g. that nice EU supported Foundation that provided Mr Ganley with that guide about the Lisbon Treaty that he was giving out during the referendum and the monies from the EP's GUE/NGL political party that paid for those Sinn Fein posters with Mary Lou et al on them).

    Are you a "Talkto" representative?

    Is that my answer...?

No, I am not a "Talkto" representative. I am sure they will have a better answer in a few days time.

Rather, I was just encouraging the "Talkto" representative to provide a full set of information for us all. After all, we shouldn't ignore that many of our "We hate the EU" people got some of their money from the EU.

Apologies for the delay in responding.

Here are links to figures relating to the information you requested. They are non specific in parts but they will give you a general idea of the budget set aside for promoting the EU via various means and programmes.

    Fostering European Citizenship

    Information society and media

    Communication and the media

    Education and culture

The full 2010 budget for the European Commission is available here.

The Commission has various departments dealing with communication aspects in all the different policy areas and if you are looking for specific information on a particular campaign, let us know, so we can contact the relevant department within the Commission.

In relation to the first part of your question, if you could give us more specific information as to which groups you are looking for information about, we'd be better equipped to find the information you need.
Each Commission service has its own programmes under which funding to "non EU groups" could be provided.
