Hi I am on the back to work scheme as self employed in the shopfitting industry. I have spent the last year employed as a sub contractor but would like to start taking on full shop fit outs.
Im just wondering where I would start to find out to get tender documents to price jobs?

    Hi

I am open to correction, but a number of years ago most of this type of work for new builds was looked after by the Architect/Builder.

    It may have changed since

    Regards

    Aidan

Thanks aidan I guess I should start ringing and emailing architects offices and ask them if they have any projects available for tendering.
Does anyone know of any websites that would have tender documents available? I cant find any myself

Would anyone have any idea how you get into contact with the likes of Lidl, Aldi, Tesco etc. about trying to tender projects for them? I have emailed their customer services but have not gotten any replies.. I guess I would need to go further than customer services but have no idea how I do that when I don't have any contact details for anyone further up the line..

All ideas and help is greatly appreciated..

You need to get to know the relevant people first, before you ask them to let you tender. It's all about building relationships. You need to meet these people on the sites you work on already and convince them of the quality of your work.

These aren't government tenders. You won't find them on websites. The people who run the tenders are only going to invite tenderers who they trust to be able to deliver the job at a sufficient level of quality.

Bid management must be carried out under expert supervision by taking the help of professional bid management services. There are few professional bid management organizations which are available even online and they will surely help one in making a business successful.
