try getting xxyz snap jacks, iv had the same lead for nearly 5 years, and its been chucked about and constantly used, and i'v never had an issue with them. I got mine off ebay, but i know recently that the music shop on lower liffey street has them in stock.

I have a clatter of defective Planet Waves leads. The ones with the moulded jacks are not going to last too long really. When i get 10 or so, i am posting them straight to the company.

They are brillant leads, we do them too but.... I don't think they are being kept on by the company who sells them into ireland :(

So much for a "life time guarantee". I understand this to mean that a company are so proud of and sure of the reliability of their product, that in the unlikely chance of a fault occuring, they will replace said item. Is this a naive understanding ? Granted, it is nice to know they will be replaced free of charge, but I'd prefer if they were more reliable to begin with. I have read elsewhere of similiar problems with these.

I've had a good few planet waves leads, they do break but I normally just bring them back to the shop and they will replace them. The molded jacks are annoying as you can't access them to re-solder the connection. I just use some cordial ones from thomann with the neutrik jacks now for gigging and they haven't let me down yet.

He was referring to the xxyz snap jacks.
Speaking of which, do they not pull off if they get caught?
I dont know how comforatble Id be if my cables connectors were only held with magnets. Do they really work well?
