By sensor I'm assuming you mean touchpad?

I'm probably stating the obvious but have you tried to restart it? Is the keyboard working? If it is you can use the keyboard to do a system restore, you can use a combination of the directional arrows, enter, the windows button and the tab key to navigate to the system restore feature. If it was doing nothing while it stopped working I wouldn't say its a software problem which is fixable by system restore. It would seem like the touchpad was damaged physically somehow.

Thanks very much, have tried system restore and couldn't solve the problems, the keypads are working so i did use the windows buttom to do system restore, and since i upgraded from vista to windows 7,anyway if its touch pad damage i think i could use an external mouse but it doesn't work as well, because have tried using external mouse and it will not move the censor as well, just doesn't know what to do again?please help.

Do you have another computer you could use to burn a cd? google "how to burn an iso" and burn this file to a disc http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/puppylinux/puppy-5.1.1/lupu-511.iso once you have this cd ready put it into your computer and then restart. when your computer is restarting keep pressing the f8 key until you get options, choose your cd/dvd drive and not your hard drive/hdd it should boot into another operating system that is not windows, and if your touchpad works in this you have a software problem with windows, if your touchpad still doesn't work its a hardware problem.

instead of doing all that, did you get a cd for reinstalling windows if you did put this in and do the same thing with f8 to boot into it, don't reinstall windows with it, just wait until the initial interface opens and see it your touchpad works there, and again if it works its software if it doesn't work its hardware

It's just something temporary that you can use to test if the touchpad was working, you can use it for things like browsing the internet if you want, but it is unable to save anything like documents or music, once you turned the laptop off they would all be gone. So if u needed to keep things on your laptop its basically useless.

The good thing is it shows its only a software problem, so reinstalling windows should fix it.
