When I use a non powered splitter I end up with three weak signals.

That SLX amplifier is not rated for cable frequencies (which can be anything from 50-1000 MHz), not sure about the others. I used a 3-way splitter without problems, but using decent quality co-ax and a shielded f-connector splitter (cheap unshielded plastic stuff won't do).
