its a long shot but does anyone have a crown race installer and remover for sale?
found some online that I'll buy when theyre back in stock but would be handy if I could get something second hand now

I just use a bit of plastic plumbing pipe to ram the crown into place and jimmy them free using a flat screwdriver (but I don't buy expensive parts). Might help.

thanks but I tried it DIY and damaged the race slighty. had to sand part of it down and with the cartridge bearings its not so bad. I plan on installing a good few headsets in the future so the proper tools would be ideal.

this was a shiny new Stronglight A9, luckily I dont notice any bad effect from the damage.
