Remote socket switch that'll show on/off status?

    Hey,

My gran's boiler switch is in an outside shed and we're looking at options to put it on/off with an internal switch (considering the recent icy conditions etc). We'd rather a remote switch option over ripping up the tarmac or hanging overhead cables.

There's a good few remote socket switches available. Has anybody come across something like that which will have a small light or led on the remote to show the current on/off status of the switch (will need some kind of return signal). It doesn't need to be handheld... a wall mounted "remote" would actually be better.

    Thanks!

Just thought of a possible work-around to the return confirmation light if no such thing exists... a small external light on the shed that's also wired into the switch, could look out the back door.

is the power to the boiler taken from the house originally??? could a switch/timeclock be fitted near the fuseboard??

It does come from the house but that line out also powers the lighting and freezer in the shed... it's not direct to only the boiler.

could just use one of those remote control sockets so and a light on exterior of the shed to show the boiler is on/off. doubt the outgoing cable has any spare cores anyway
