I am going to replace my rusting Sky dish and I wondering would I be better off getting a 80cm dish. I sometimes have problems in heavy rain with reception. I will be going for a Triax dish to prevent rusting and will be using it for Sky and Freesat. Where would you recommend to buy the new dish and bits online. Thanks for your help.

60 cm should be fine if properly aligned and good quality cable used.

    Depends where you are.

Midlands to East 60cm to 65cm is fine.

West coast needs more, and Donegal or West Cork bigger still.

    A solid Triax 78cm can't be a mistake ...

Avoid perforated/mesh dish. Or else do a few coats of smooth hamerite.
