    ...at the one job and its only a 3 bedroom bungalow. looks like it might actually be a complete refit for the heating system. unbelievable.

    stupidly yes, and its more annoying because its a friend of the families. last year I was out in jan fixing 3 bursts because she didnt keep her heating on, then her son had a burst in the loft of his unoccupied house that was for sale - so you would think she would have learnt. went away leaving the heat on for 1hr at night and hr in morning, stopcock on. expansion vessel and tanks froze, burst mains in loft x3, burst electric shower, 6 heating pipes and counting, 3 in garage, 4 outside. Ended up using 12 28mm straights outside/garage. insurance has said go ahead with the fix and send bill in but waiting to hear about replumbing. all drops from loft so handy enough, all in 15mm copper tho (hate systems all in 15mm) tho its coming from an inch feed from garage > attic. will change it to 22mm in loft hopefully if I get the go ahead.
