O2 Hotshot as backup connection?

    Howdy,

My home broadband is not the best and I disconnected for a couple of minutes 3/4 times per day. I use my connection mainly for online poker and these small disconnections can be pretty lethal at times.

Does anybody know if this O2 hotshot can be setup to kick in as soon as my home bb goes down, so as that i won't lose my connection to the tables? I tried this before with the O2 dongle which i couldnt get to work :/

    Cheers

Your going to loose connection either way, maybe you should get better home broadband. Saying that mine disconnects a few times a day and i'm paying eircom through the nose for it.

You can get a wireless router with a USB port for GSM backup. SMC make one and edimax as well. You would have to pay for both connections and I would think that your mobile connection will have to be pay monthly.
