have found a gorgeous dress on asos - it's quite fitted, and I've never bought anything from them before - just want to get an idea of their sizes, I'm generally a 10 in say Jasper Conran dresses or New Look, but can be a 12 somewhere else (I've an hourglass figure) - not too sure which to get and would appreciate feedback from anyone who has bought dresses from them before with the same bodyshape???

    Thanks!

I've just bought a skirt off them for the first time, I should have it in a week or so; I'm probably the same size as you so I'll let you know how it fits :)

I've found them quite true to size so far. I think it's handy the way they tell you what size and height the model is, especially when working out the length on a dress or skirt.
If you could afford it, order two sizes and then just send one back. They have a returns address in Ireland so it's easy and quick enough. I just ordered a dress in a 10, my usual size, and a 12, as it's a strapless dress and am unsure how it will fit.

I find Asos sizes very good in general, I haven't had a problem so far, As Twee said if you are unsure order two sizes. I returned a few items and the policy is very good.

Can you post a link to the dress OP? We might be able to give more help if we see the style of the dress.

I've ordered a few things off them found some items fit perfectly and some are too big. I ordered two jumpers, both a size 8-10, my usual size and they were too big, I have other items from them in a size 8-10 and 10 and they fit perfectly.

I also find that the ASOS stuff runs true to size. I'm usually an 8-10 and sometimes I'd be wary of getting a size 8 from somewhere as they can be quite small fitting. I got a similar dress to the first link you posted from ASOS last year in a size 8 though and it fits fine

Also, the second dress is very nice :)
