Top 50 songs of 2010 (part 1) just gone up

    http://www.thekippure.com/2011/01/the-top-50-songs-of-2010-part-1-50-21/

Not sure I agree with the list... mainly because I don't seem to know a lot of songs on it so I'm currently in the "no opinion" camp. Fair aul trawl of the links contained is in order for mise me thinks.

    Any opinions?

I like that list so far, seems to very closely mirror my own taste in music.

Metrics Gold Guns Girls ain't no 2010 song though.

Some great tunes and some not so great tunes in there. It was great to see Alcest in there though, was not expecting that. Metric's Gold Guns Girls is a fantastic song but their album Fantasies was released in 2009 so i don't understand how it made it into the list.

I quite like that Cults track "Go Outside" that they have in the list.

That Titus Andronicus single is great too, but I'd have it in my top 20.

Can't find the link to page 2, is there one?

    Why?

Its an interesting list, very individual which is good.

If anything Kanye should be featured again on the list with a few more songs.

Ah I was kidding about stopping reading but I really have no time for Kanye whatsoever.

I was enjoying it until I got to Kanye then I realised I'd played it through in the background but hand't actually noticed it. So I played it again and it just completely passed me by again. I don't get the appeal; it's complete nothing music, just like Tupac.

Yes - his album is one of the best produced I heard this year in any genre, and its thought out almost perfectly in terms of sequencing.

You should check out the Les Discrets album from this year if you like Alcest.

A few of my favourite songs from this year...

    Curren$y

    Booka Shade

    Shad

    Mac Miller

I have that album as well, it's fantastic. Some great music coming out of France at the moment.

Again, very similar to my own tastes with The Social Network OST, Sleigh Bells and How to Destroy Angels all featuring very highly on my end of year list.

    Good stuff!

Odessa is the only track I rate on the final page

The National are a good band but they don't really do it for me.

Also, the Matt Cardle bluff made me lol.

On a first quick scan I didn't notice it was a bluff and just cringed :D

This is a man who lives, eats, breathes and sleeps music. This is a man who has the ability to lead us out of the recession with his challenging and brilliant songs. This is more than a man. This is Matt Cardle.

LOL. Nice list.. One of the more varied ones you'll find.
