    Went in to town yesterday,
before I went I did a little research and found that Irish Life Car Park, Abbey Street has a maximum charge of €5 for staying there on a Sunday (Sunday 10:00am to 19.00).
People were backed up trying to get in to the Arnotts car parking at €4 for 3 hours.

Just googled parking in Dublin after reading this post. Never occurred to me to check before.

Anyway, I came up with this site which lists all the carparks, their location and prices.

    http://www.parkopedia.ie/parking/carpark/clerys/dublin/

I see that you can get 3 hours parking for €2 on presentation of a valid Arnotts receipt. I suppose better late than never finding this little nugget out.

The Q Park opposite the Four Courts does an offer at weekends - €4 for the day on Saturdays and Sundays. Link
Also if you prebook a space in the Stephens' Green car park you can get all-day parking for a flat rate of €10. Link

The reason it's so cheap on Sunday is because pretty much all pay and display spots are free on Sunday. That usually also goes for loading bays and often bus lanes too where there is not a clearway in effect.

I don't see why anyone would pay for parking on a Sunday, there's loads of on-street parking to go around for free. Same can be said for Saturdays if you're willing to walk a little and know the right spots.

Any student card holders (student travelcard is valid if you can get hands on a valid copy) and persons over 65 can get parking for €2 per hour with a maximum charge of €10 per day. Applies to most Q carparks though worth checking at attendant desk first if in doubt.

Be careful with some of the spots on street in the city centre, some of them are now pay and display Sunday 2 to 6.

Some of the signs changed the last while, the sneaky bastards!

Agreed though, theres plenty of P&D spots that are free outside mon-sat 8am - 7pm

QPark Steo's Green is 6euro for the whole night after 5pm once you prepay
