    Hi,

I though I could buy a Nexus S online at http://www.carphonewarehouse.com and pick it up next week when Im in the UK. However the website only accepts UK credit cards and I cant proceed with my order.

Does anyone know a way around this apart from using someone's UK credit card?

    Thanks,
    Gx

Can't you walk into a shop and buy it?

I was thinking the same, but there is a limit of £200 sterling.

    Details: How to use 3V...
(Btw, the 3V site is crap!)

I'm planning on getting one from the USA from bestbuy.com as it's about half the the price of the UK one. If I send it via UPS what kind of tax would be charged on it?

I used Bundlebox to get and estimate of total costs from the US and it worked out at €500 taking shipping and taxes into account.

    The breakdown they gave is

    Total shipping charges:€52.27
    Import duty & VAT:€95.70
Import duty & VAT handling charges:€5.87
    Product costs:€352.79
    Total costs:€506.63

so the duty would be about €100 plus its a long way away if something goes wrong with it

How much is it in a shop in the states out of interest? Will they just sell it to anyone that walks in?
