Im running an Iphone 3G with 3.1.3 firmware, jailbroken and unlocked. I bought the OH a Iphone 4 for christmas and I quite like the folders option that comes with firmware 4.xx

So until I upgrade my phone, I have a question: Is it worth upgrading to 4.1 firmware and jailbreaking and unlocking? I have heard nightmare stories about 3G handsets becoming almost unusable since 4.xx upgrades in firmware.

Never had one but I've read lots of complaints about the 3G on iOS 4.xx
Ya could try categories in cydia, I had it on my 3GS on 3.1.3

problem is, if you look at it compared to an iPhone 4, it really really looks slow. I had a 3G running on 4.0 and it was fine, no problem with it. Looked like it was going in reverse when I got the iPhone 4 though:D

Would also recommend trying out categories before upgrading and if you like it, stick with it.
