Viral Video Marketing

I didn't see much of a relationship between the two but I would imagine that a lot of those views come from Google. But I'm not an expert!

I know a lot of blogs got huge traffic following Imagine's Wimax advertising campaign when they used Google AdWords while advertising "Just Google Us".

It isn't that hard to get 10k/20k views to a site if you know how. We uploaded a video of a drunk friend a few years back and started getting 1k visits an hour until he had it banned :D

Rubber Bandit - now that was viral! But a friend of mine has had a lot of success with the "Limerick: the recession" videos - racking up 40k views per vid just using Facebook : http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=limerick+recession&aq=f and 80k on this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EniA8CIVS8M - without using hugely searched for terms etc.

Coppers got their traffic from Facebook. Likewise with Imagine. They're not unique views by the way...integrating advertising = the key!

Some people get mega hits and may not know what they're doing or trying to do !
