Removal of facial mole

Hi - I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this but it's as close as I can find on the site. I'm also aware of the rule about seeking and giving medical advice so I hope I don't stray across that line.

Basically I have a mole on my lower left lip roughly a bit bigger that the head of a matchstick. It's located between my chin and lip and I'm obviously used to it and don't even think about it most of the time. But the past while I've been wondering if it's possible to have it removed. I sometimes cut it when shaving and it pi**es blood when that happens. Someone mentioned recently that I could get it removed, so does anyone know how I might go about this? Would it need plastic surgery or would a doctor be able to remove it? I have heard of doctors 'freezing' moles and then removing them.

I've attached a pic of it to give an idea of size and location.

    TIA

Probably best going to your doctor and letting them look at it and advise you, I would imagine they would either be able to do it themselves or else sending you off to a specialist to get it done.

Either way the only way to get it done would be to see your GP first.

Hi there OP.As inoccuous as your post seems,it is in medical (albeit cosmetic) advice country which as you rightly pointed out isnt allowed here.Best bet is to have a chat with your GP,he would then be able to refer you to a dermatologist if required.Thread closed.
