Has or is there a change to getting a form stamped for a car been off the road?

My mk3 golf has been off the road for over 2 years now and I need to get some work done on my mk4 so Ill be without a car for a couple off weeks.

I stuck a battery in this morning and away she went so if I can transfer the insurance and get her taxed i'd be sorted.

    Thanks.

There's a section in the bottom left of a standard Tax renewal form that you can get the Gards to stamp
