Transferring ownership of iPhone 3GS

    Hi,

I'm selling an iPhone to someone and have just cleared all data and performed a restore and update to factory settings. It's now saying I must connect to iTunes. I'm going to leave this for the buyer to do, so he can set it up the way he likes.

Is there anything else I need to do to transfer it to him?

Also, I purchased the extended Applecare protection plan. I know I can transfer it to him, but does anyone know how?

    Thanks very much,
    John

Dunno about transferring the AppleCare but you should now connect the phone to iTunes and get it going.

If I was buying a second hand phone, fair enough I'd want all the previous owners info cleared, but if it was in 'connect to itunes' mode I'd be a bit wary. I'd connect it and activate it, but don't sync it.
