Wrong figure on RCT Deduction Certificate Issued

Can anyone help me with this issue? I put the wrong (higher) gross amount figure paid in a a RTCDC and have only realised this after doing the end of year totals to forward onto the Revenue. I had duplicated a figure (unintentionally) from another subcontractor that I was doing a pink slip for that day. I have paid the correct (lower) amount to the revenue for that particular month as I have set up an excel sheet that records the pinks slips that we have given and when I send them to the revenue. The sub-contractor knew the mistake yet did not return the slip back to me (and for this deceit he will not be receiving anymore business from me as I have always been prompt with his payments). Do I contact the revenue as I have proof of the right figure paid to him? I have searched the revenue website for information but it is not clear on how to approach this matter?

Just get on the phone to the RCT section of your local office, you won't be penalised, but they'll want to know so they can cancel/reverse the incorrect RCTDC...

Thanks barneystinson. Will do that. I just feel a bit stupid. Should have double checked figures before I sent them to the subcontractor and the revenue. I think the worst thing about this is that I've known this sub-contractor for a long time and we helped him out a number of times writing letters to the revenue for him in relation to work that he was getting from us so him shafting us was something that I didn't forsee. Time to get my rose tinted glasses off.
