Trade 2 for 1?

My wife and I have 2 01 Corollas. Both are in pretty good nick but we don't really need to have 2 cars on the go. Does anyone know if garages would take in 2 old corollas plus cash in exchange for a new/2nd hand car?

They might take them considering that they would be offering little for them specially against a car of much higher value.

If you were trying to do a swap 2 for 1 with no cash, you wouldnt have a hope imo

Not alot of garages are interested in taking 10 year old cars as trade-in unless they are used as part of the Government scrappage scheme against a new car. There is little or no profit for most big garages in cars of this age as they would have to service them, fix anything broken, valet them and then offer a warranty on them. I doubt they would take 2 of them against 1 car.

Why don't you sell at least one of them privately? Tidy Corollas are easy enough to sell so priced right I reckon you will sell them quickly enough.

Given that it's two 01 Corollas, I'd expect any garage to trade them if in good condition. The garage should be able to sell these on without too much bother. If it was two large petrol guzzlers then it would be a different story.
