Im going buying a new laptop next week, and Im a huge fans of the sims, hoping to get one good enough to run the sims 3
By max budget would be €700..cnt go any higher!
My question is if you have a really good processor will it make up for the bad graphics cards in laptops?

These are the spec for one im considering:

    ProcessorIntel® Core™ i5-460M Processor
    - 2.53 GHz (2.8 GHz max Turbo Frequency)
    - 2.5 GT/s DMI
    - 3 MB L3 Cache
Operating SystemGenuine Windows® 7 Home Premium 64-bitRAM- 4GB installed DDR3 RAMGraphics cardIntel HD graphics
    Hard drive500GB SATA

ummm... why not get a good GFX card in the first place? I mean not a great one but the good one.
    GEForce for around euro 60-70.

Sims 3 needs a graphics card which supports Shader Model 2.0

When you decide on your laptop make sure that the graphics card supports this shader model

Most GFX cards in the last 12 months include Pixel Shader 2.0, if in doubt check the box. If it supports X 10, chances are it has PS2. Any fo the Dell Inspiron R15 will do what you need.
