saab 93, 05 - unlocking problem

    just wondering if anyones come across this before - cant unlock the car via the remote, so i can take the key out of the middle of the remote and unlock the passenger door, I can start the car and drive it - big problem is I cant unlock the boot or fuel cap so I cant put diesel into it and its so low I cant move it anywhere... anyone have any solution to this cos I'm getting so sick of this car I feel like puttin a match to it! thanks

    I assume you mean the "flick knife" style key/remote.I am still old school:p.Did you try to open the doors from the drivers side with the key?Have a look at the fuses to see if they are gone.If you can open the boot are they a manual pull cord in the boot for the tank.

    if you push the lock/unlock button on the drivers door this will unlock all doors inc the boot and petrol flap. It sounds like the battery is gone in your key get a small screwdriver (flat) and gentle force the key into half this will leave you with one part of the key with the badge side on it and the other half has the remote buttons on it, replace the battery and put it all back together job done. If this fails you either have a problem with your whole key or central locking system. Let us know the outcome.

    Theres no keyhole any where on the car except for the passenger door. Yeah I'll check the fuses in the morn.

    Is there not a switch inside the car to operate the boot and fuel cap? Could also be the fob battery in the fob too as was said.What are saab up to eh?:confused:

    first thing i did was put new battery in fob, no joy. Will try press the button on the drivers door this eve see can i open fuel cap.could it e a fuse blown? Thanks for the replies!
