Au Pairing in Italy

I'm on a gap year and am going to university in London in September 2011. I want to experience some travel on my year out, but have only 500euro saved so I thought of being an Au Pair for a few months. I would love to Au Pair in Italy. Can anyone give me some advice how to go about this?
