Guys I need a little advice.

I dont live in Ireland anymore but still spend anywhere from one to three days a months in the country and need internet for my laptop.

Can anyone recommend which one of those dongle thingys would be best for me.

    any help would be appriciated.

Be aware - mobile broadband is sh!t. Horribly slow, horribly expensive. Of course, on the plus side, its portable.

To answer your question, best thing to do would be to get a pay-as-you-go mobile BB dongle from any of the main providers. If you go billpay, you'll end up paying for a device you will only be using a few times in the month.

Personally, I've found that each network has varying price plans based on what you need, and varying reception strength. I'd personally prefer 3's Pay-As-You-Go broadband, but most people prefer Vodafones mobile broadband PAYG price plans.

If you have an irish 3 mobile broadband you can use it in the uk at no extra cost. There selling one online for 9 euro at the moment, might be worth a look if you want something cheap. It's not the best modem out there but for 9 euro it's ok. http://www.three.ie/prepaystore/shop/flow/basket.aspx?tariff=T010019&handset=50984&submit=Buy+Now

There is no real way to know what will work for you. Try each and see, is about all you can do. O2 and Three seem to have the most over subscribed networks though.
