Hi. my wife has an engagement ring that we bought as a "show-ring" (didn't spend much time or money picking it, just had it to show people if they asked). I now want to replace the ring with a larger, higher quality diamond but want to keep the setting as she really likes it. is it possible to put a .4ct diamond that originally held a .15ct diamond?the setting is white gold with four prong claw

    cheers

You need to go to a jeweller. - a proper one, not just one of those shops that sell rings and if you need anything done tell you it takes 6 weeks. A proper jeweller shop have their own jeweller and make alot of their own rings. They will probably replace the setting.

James Blacoe in Athlone is a jeweller that makes his own rings.
