2.4hz heart rate pairing question ?

hi Im wondering will this work ? I wana buy the new timex global trainer gps watch and pair it with my cycleops heart rate strap, i know it pick up all the signals from my powertap but wonder will it pick up the heart strap as well ? Or could i do it the other way round and try have the cycleops joule2.0 find the timex…
