The president of Iran Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has received a $1million bid for his 1977 white Peugeot 504, only a day after it was put up for sale. He is auctioning his 1977 white Peugeot 504 to raise money for a low income housing project, It is believed the offer of $1M has come from an Arab country.

Do they still make these in Africa or somewhere? Lovely motor, very comfy. Grandfather had a few of them in the 70s

It was last produced in Argentina in 2002, I saw heaps of them as taxis in Cairo a few years ago. Very rugged car and well able to cope with bad roads pot holes etc.

They made them in Nigeria and Kenya until 2004 I think.
