Self Build Mortgage with existing mortgage

    Hi

    Need some advice please

    we currently have our mortgage with kbc
    we have FULL planning permission for a renovation & extension to a cottage with my husband has thru his family.

    we want to get this started this year but we dont know what options we have as to raise monies.
    Our current house we will be in negative equity.

    I was looking at EBS Self Build Mortgage , can you get that and still live in current house , or do you need to sell current house iykwim...
