Amazon Evening Delivery and Express delivery, trustable?

I'm all new here and well, posting to inquire about the trust ability of these shipments on amazon.

I'm not really from UK but, I'm going to be at London for 3 days and I thinking bout order in a kindle with one of those methods of delivery.

The point is, if there's problems with the delivery, i mainly loose my package forever >P. So I would like to know if u guys around have delays on these service, and i was wondering if amazon delivers actually at hotel without me around .-. (it's not like I'll be the whole day at my hotel room).

Anyone to feedback on those methods ?

(if anyone wonders why I'm even considering it, I'm from Brazil and to buy a kindle 3 from int. store i pay 189 usd of the kindle plus a light 199 usd fee -.-, so yes, 388 usd for a kindle =x)

Well I've just ordered something on amazon using the next day express delivery, so taking bank holiday into consideration it should be delivered on wednesday (in the UK), I'll let you know how that goes.

RE: Hotel, truly I have no idea.

As a side note, the kindle is sold in dixons Dublin airport, might also be sold at dixons in the UK airports too?

thx for the reply, i tried googling around bout physical stores with kindle at u.k. but let's say my success rates were dreadful.

Unfortunately to me dixons UK site seems to not list kindle in the catalog -.-, I've even started to consider now asking him a prs-650 instead the whole kindle thing, considering have the thing delivered like that sounds nuts .-. (I've gained reasoning! -D)

Well it delivered today, unfortunately no one was home so it's sitting in a collection office now. In anycase, all's good
