first fox with remington 700 .223

    Got my first charlie to night, he came charging in to mouth call, at about 70 yards little bark, squeeze the trigger and he fell to the ground

    70 yards and such a small target - nice shot, well placed.

    Next time see just how far the fox will come in. I am never surprised to see just how close they come. Could have hit one with a snowball a few weeks back.:D

    What scope did you use?

    It's a Bushnell Sportsman 4-12-40 with burris mounts
    not sure if it's good enough for centerfire because it goes a little of zero at times, I think, but not sure maybe it's just me

    there a nice chaep varmint round that do the trick
    i use the same myself how do you find them at longer distance

    like I said above this is the first fox with this gun
    but on paper it seems fairly flat out 250 or so
